They are 606watts per set and i have 2 sets coming.
Will any of these switches support 1 set? I see the blues i have are rated for only 300w when led.
Hope someone can help me out. Really want them to be Smart Switches.
there are 2 sets of circuts per set,
the outer is 216w
Inner is 390w.
Would a ZBMINI work for the inner? And a blue 2-1 for outer? Then I would only need 2
1 switches and 4 ZBMINI
Have the switch be just a button that if pressed once turn on outer of each set (1 ZBMINI per set, so 2 total) and then if pressed up twice have each inner turn on (1 ZBMINI per set so 2 total)
Hope someone can help me out. Really want them to be Smart Switches.
I didn’t see the description for a single light being split into two loads, but you are correct that you need to use a relay. I haven’t used a ZBMini, but according to published specs, they are rated at 10A, well in excess of your requirements.
TBH, I’d use two relays per light, one for each leg. While the spec you quoted for the outer is within the Blue’s specs, it’s still a hefty load and will heat up the switch. Since you’re already putting one relay in, there is not much to adding a 2nd one. You can still use a single press up to send a scene command to turn on a relay, so the behavior will be the same as you are expecting.
The other option is to wait for the Project Vernacular switches which are to be true relay-based switches. Two of them should carry the two switch leg loads easily.
Ya that was my thought proccess. And yes the specs on many listings dont list that they are seperate as most people wite them together. But the outer border is separate from the inner. And yes 4 relays so no load on the switch was my finaly thought.
Just needed someone to verify that i was going down the right path.
Correction to My statement, the lights will be split across 6 relays as even the relays only handle 200w of led lights. good thing I can get them for only like $6 each now.
