Fan light switch... is it constant hot to the canopy module?

Just wanted to clarify before I purchase the fan and light switch. I’m assuming the inovelli “switch” in the wall is not actually switching the power, but rather sending constant hot to the canopy module and that the module is doing the actual switching. Correct?

Reason being is that I want to provide constant power to an outlet from that switch leg in series with the fan itself. If I did this, I’m assuming the outlet would always have power even if the fan and light are switched off. Correct?

Correct. You need a hot and a neutral at both the switch and the fan module

Correct, although the receptacle will go in parallel, not series.

Awesome, thanks. Perfect. And, yes, thanks for the correction… Parallel.
