I’ve lost the battle. Between my wife, my nearly blind mother, the inconsistency of the Inovelli White switch, and the ‘confusion’ being next to a Caseda, I’m going to change over to a Lurton Diva Smart (paddle) dimmer for our kitchen lights. I found an old post where a few non-Inovelli aux switched work with the Inovelli smart switches, but does anyone have experience with using an Inovelli Aux switch with the new Lutron Smart Diva Dimmer in a wired 3-way circuit?
Pretty sure you have to buy the Lutron aux switch or a pico.
What exactly is inconsistent about the switch, and what is confusing?
For my 84yo, legally blind mother, I think she accidentally pushes the favorites button. My wife claims it doesn’t turn on occasionally with a single physical button push, I’ve only experienced that once or twice and I could probably chalk it up to not pushing it hard enough or too hard, but this light switch is probably the most used in the house and I need it to be 100% all the time. The wife wasn’t thrilled with the way the dimmer works either, so I have to choose my battles. To answer my own question, I don’t think the Inovelli aux will work with the Lutron, but a dumb switch can (and does). I finished the install over the weekend and I have a happy wife (in this department, anyway).
