NZW31S Gen1 - Local Control no longer functions

Suddenly my Gen1 Dimmer will no longer turn on or off the light connected to the dimmer.

  • I can still control the light connected to this dimmer with the Hub controls!
  • And the toggle paddle action is received by my Hub (Hubitat).
  • The local control parameter is set to default (i.e. the local control should work).

I have not make any changed in this device or configuration for some time so it wasn’t due to some recent modification.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Does anyone know if this device has a “factory restore” option?

A reset on the current series is done by holding the config button for 20 seconds. Don’t know if it’s the same on the Gen 1’s but worth trying.

Bingo!!! That did it. Thanks for the post. Now I’m embarrassed I didn’t think of it :frowning: I was trying to exclude the switch before factory reset and ended up with temporary (I hope) tunnel vision.

Curious though, I would have thought a factory reset would remove it from being paired with the Z-Wave radio, but that wasn’t the case here.

How did you do a factory reset without having local paddle controls working. I am in the same boat with my NZW31S.
