White series brightness level on LED Bar doesn't match actual brightness level in home assistant

I have a white series switch installed in smart bulb mode and paired to Home Assistant. When changing the brightness level through home assistant, the LED bar lags behind.

For example, If I set the brightness to 10% on the HA entity, the switch’s LED bar is still greater than 50%.

How can I fix this?

Edit: It looks like the brightness level “animation” creates a “tail” of decreasing brightness (fade away) above the segment meant to indicate the actual brightness. If the LED bar’s brightness level is set too high, it’s difficult to distinguish where the indicator is meant to end and where the “tail” begins. Decreasing the “LED On Intensity” configuration to around 7 helps read the level better.

A quick fix would be to start the fading before the indicated brightness level, instead of after. Perhaps with the exception of the last 20% (when only the last light segment should be lit, doesn’t make sense to dim that away?"
