I’ve experienced a problem with screws stripping on several switches I’ve received recently. I have a VTM-31 dimmer with a bad ground screw, another VTM-31 dimmer with a bad load screw, and an Add-On switch with a bad traveler screw. I’ve installed 45 switches before this using the same torque with no issues. Has anyone else had any problems like this?
I’ve had one batch of blue series dimmers that had weak screws that stripped easily. If you send in a support ticket with the number of replacements you need to [email protected] they should be able to mail you some. It’s fairly easy to swap them out as well.
And just to make sure, you’re not using an impact driver or anything powered on the screws right?
