My use case is very similar to those listed above. These switches make automation much more accessible to kids, guests, and anyone else who isn’t going to memorize which multi-taps on which switches do what. A button with self-explanatory icon/text makes using automation so much more intuitive and usable. I would use one in each bedroom, each entry/exit for the house, and the top and bottom of our stairs. I think anywhere from 3-10 scene switch per household is a reasonable estimate.
In the end, I want to support whatever helps Inovelli survive and thrive. If that means Inovelli needs to focus delivering on the motion switches first and then come back to this project, so be it. Selfishly, I’d love these scene switches ASAP, but not at the expense of overwhelming your team.

I’m in for 3-4 of these as soon as they are available, but I’m not one to pre-order. You should also offer an engraving option (or at least sticker) like Zooz does for their multi-button switch.
I’m in a for a few of these. I’d prefer Zigbee, but would do either. Happy to preorder.
I can use blues with double and triple tap sequences, but these are much better for guests to understand.
we sold home automation in maybe 50 homes.
those type of scene controler are great. customer loves them. it’s the heart of the solution.
we put one next to each doors that lead outside (front door, patio and side door going in garage) one in the middle of the house for buttons like, basement on/off, 2nd floor on/off, movie time… one in the master bedroom with buttons like: all off, garage door, front door, good morning. also use them for the bathroom fan, button been 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45…
so between 5 and 8 on average in a home. (FWIW)

+1 for this project. I’d be looking at about 5-8 units. I’d want to see backlit buttons, which I’m used to with my RA2 Hybrids. I’d also prefer Zigbee, but it wouldn’t be a deal breaker.
Starting a new thread and locking this one. Quite frankly, I just want to start fresh as this one carries a lot of baggage.
The good news is this is a fully funded project now from both a Z-Wave and Zigbee standpoint and we will be officially kicking it off in the next couple of weeks.
I want to thank everyone for their patience and for those that have pre-ordered this switch, I will be honoring this same pricing if/when we open up pre-orders on the new switch (I’m still undecided on that). Also a sincere thank you to those who pre-ordered almost 3+ years ago.
