Blue 2.1 single button press - detect in Home Asisstant

Hello. I’ve a Blue 2.1 installed and have succesfully integrated into Home Assistant.

I’ve an automation that controls the on/off state without issue.

However, I’m having zero luck in detecting a physical toggle of the switch itself.

My end state is to detect when the switch is physically toggled off (with a single click), and run some other automations.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using ZHA or Z2M with Home Assistant?

If ZHA, I believe you’d just need to use a device trigger for “Down press” and that should do what you’re looking for?
