This might already be answered or might just be a dumb question. I have a fan off Amazon Link and I am currently using it with smart Hue bulbs. I was looking at the Inovelli Blue switch for smart lights and putting it into smart bulb mode to control just the lights but still provide power to the fan. We use the fan with the included remote and don’t want to control it with the light switch. Is this possible to do?
Yes, it’s possible to do. You need to ensure that the fan itself continues to get power from the line wire directly and does not connect to the load side of the switch (the switch is not rated for motor loads). You’ll also need a neutral at the switch, since there will be no load connection.
