Sorry to chime in but I have a very similar use case. So to summarize:
- pair all hue lights directly to Blue switches for ultimate a switch-is-a-switch resilience behavior
- use HA adaptive lighting plugin (hopefully they’ll add staging to avoid unpleasant delayed brightness/color adjustment)
Does that meant that the Hue Hub is not aware of any of the lights since you cannot have the lights paired to both the Hue Hub and the Inovelli switches?
Do you not find that you are losing out on the solid Hub performance for other things like setting colors, etc, etc – OR do you connect the Hue Hub to HA and control the lights that way indirectly?
Sorry I’m about to embark on a big smart home journey and I’m only aware about these things in the abstract while I figure out what to purchase.
