Can LEDs in switch LED strip be set independently?

I have a bunch of Red dimmer series dimmers, and as far as I know no new updates are coming/possible but I’ll ask and maybe a newer switch could take the place of a few of them where I want this.

Here is the situation: I have several switches that control a high and low light. I have a couple of hutches that have this. I also have a 2nd switch that controls the Inovelli fan+light.

What I want to do with the LED is that when I have the top light on I want the LED to be lit up from 51% to 100% and 0 to 50% off. Likewise if I turn just the light on of the fan+light it would light up the LED from 51% to 100%.

Even beyond 51-100% I’d like the LED to represent the dimming level. So if I had the top hutch light on at 50% the the LED would be lit up from 51-75%. Ideally I could simultaneously do the same thing independently with the 0-50% LEDs.

In short, I’d like control over the individual LEDs in the LED strip.

Is that possible? If not, I’d like to add it to the wish list of whatever switch Inovelli is still improving.

Also, BTW, I’m controlling everything with a Hubitat C8.

Which generation of Red Dimmer switch do you have? The Gen 3 has individual LED control.

Even with that, it sounds pretty complicated what you’re wanting to do and the setting up the automations might be really challenging.

The Gen2 LZW series does not have that capability.

The Gen3 VZx Dimmer aka 2-1 does. See this for Hubitat:

I use the HPM app “LED Mini Dashboard” to control individual LED segments on my Blue dimmers. It looks to provide some control on the Red too, though not sure how granular.

The LEDs leak into the strip a fair bit. If you light say the bottom 3 of the 7 LEDs you’ll find that there is leakage well past the middle of the strip. You might be better off just varying the brightness of the bottom and top LED in the strip. It’d be a lot easier to do too, just match the LED brightness to the dim level.
