The new Inovelli logo (all white) comes with an all-white thumbnail that makes it almost impossible to see in my bookmarks, or on the tab at the top of my browser. A bit of color would make it much easier to see/distinguish. I didn’t realize how much I rely on the thumbnails to identify where I want to click until I had to actually read the text next to the pictures… a bit of color in the thumbnail would help a lot! @Eric_Inovelli
Edit: here’s what it looks like in my bookmarks:
and here’s a browser tab… easier to see than the bookmark, but tough with a lot of tabs open:
Wait, that’s the inovelli logo? I was trying to figure out what the heck that button was. I thought it was maybe part of the forum platform’s redesign or something…
It’s not the banner image that bothers me… left, right, I’ve got no preference. It’s the thumbnail logo that PC browsers use in the bookmarks and tabs that cause difficulty for me, and those are the intended target of this thread. I DO use dark mode, but I don’t go so far as to skin my browser, so the menu bar, tab bar, and bookmark bar are still light colored and don’t play well with the pure white logo.
Yeah let me put a black background or something. It’s supposed to auto-adjust based on the light/dark theme you have chosen, but something must be broken in the code. We just had to update discourse and it screwed up the logo placement too. I think we had some custom code in there that moved the logo over to the right hand side.
As for the favicon, maybe I’ll put a black background behind it – let me play around with it on Tuesday when I’m back
