Dimmers, Front/Trailing Edge, ceiling LED lights support

Dimmers have two main technologies today, front-edge or trailing-edge (referring to how they trim the electricity waveform).

I recently installed some ceiling LED recessed lights, and they needed a trailing-edge type dimmer to work properly. Apparently this is quite common now, and the manufacturer recommended some (fairly expensive) Lutron devices. I ended up using an Eaton Universal smart dimmer, which dims great but is quite ugly (IMHO).

As far as I can tell, Inovelli Red Dimmers do not support the trailing-edge type, and are not universal. Given the increased popularity of all-LED recessed ceiling lights, I wonder if the next dimmer produced could handle both front and trailing-edge ?
