Just feeling folks out on interest in having a newer version of the switch from the deprecated LZW-36 as a standalone switch. Now that they are coming out with the Smart Fan & Light Canopy Module, it would be great to have an accompanying switch that could be matched up with its function.
Curious others thoughts/interest and Inovelli’s interest.
Been following the roadmap and other updates. Super glad to see focus slowly coming back around to the Red Series devices. Hope to see a Red Series Canopy module soon. Appreciate your guys hard work!
I would like something like that. The switch itself was great, it was an excellent design. The canopy not so much.
After the whole setup bacame too glitchy over the years, replaced, albeit temporarily with a Kasa KS240. Not ideal because I prefer not to use WiFi. This is an all in one fan and light dimmer that uses 3 wires and no canopies. If Inovelli can come up with something similar (Z-Wave or Matter), I’d consider it to replace the controls on two fans.
@emiliosic They have been working on their new Fan/Light Canopy module available in the Blue (Zigbee) and White (Thread) series. Not yet in Red.
I was proposing simply the switch as a controller for the Fan/Light Canopy module. No need to get crazy with it having a dimmer or anything built-in (unless that was the direction they wished to go). It has literally all the perfect buttons to match up with the function of the new Fan/Light Canopy module.
I just bought one of the Blue Series and got it wired up a couple days ago in the fan. It is working pretty well. I too prefer the Red series (Z-Wave) and will likely hold off on purchasing anymore unless they definitvely come out and say they won’t be making a Red Series version.

They’ve already made it pretty clear that a red series canopy module is not happening. See this post from a couple of years ago. The linked post and thread has more details, but I quoted the most relevant part.
@rohan I do think that was the initial sentiment but I believe based on their 2026 Roadmap which has a refocus on the Red Series (as we have seen with the MMWave etc…), we may see a Red Series Canopy module as we head towards the end of the year.
Obviously, nothing is set in stone but that’s what my understanding is at this time.
