Feature Req: Blue series, give the smaller button an endpoint to bind to a group

It would be nice to be able to bind the smaller button on the switches to a zigbee group binding. I’ve bound that button to an automation to turn our ceiling fan on and off (main toggle does the ceiling fan light). Everything works great, but if HA is down, then the fan can’t be turned on.

Not a huge issue - but would be nice to have!

@matt.hoski you can set up binding for endpoint 3

Endpoint 3 on the VZM35-SN (firmware 1.07+) corresponds directly to the smaller configuration button.

You can bind Endpoint 3 (LevelControl and OnOff clusters) directly to your target Zigbee device or a Zigbee group (such as a fan canopy module like the VZM36).

This allows local, hub-independent control even if Home Assistant is offline.

  2. Parameter 130: You must configure Parameter 130(Config Button Binding Mode) on the switch to enable binding functionality:
    0 = Disabled
    1 = Multi-Tap mode (1x tap = Low, 2x tap = Medium, 3x tap = High, Hold = Off)
    2 = Cycle mode

  3. Hub Binding Setup: In Home Assistant (via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT) or your preferred Zigbee coordinator, navigate to the switch’s Bindings/Groups panel, select Endpoint 3, and bind it to your target fan or group clusters (OnOff and LevelControl).
