Inovelli RGB bulb just stopped doing white!

I’m sitting in the other room and one of my kids asks, “dad, why did you change the light blue?” I get up and look and sure enough, my one RGB bulb I’ve been playing with is blue. It’s been set at 2700 white and left there. Finally working well with the dimmer.

I’ve spent a bit of time in Hubitat trying everything to get it back to white. No go. It’s like the white part of this bulb is gone. I can pretty much do any color but can’t get anywhere near white.

I think I excluded it then added it again, but nothing I’ve tried will get this bulb to white like it was. Any attempt to set it by temp gets me to a blue.

That’s strange… Can you turn on debug logging in the driver and set color temp and post the log results?

Sure can. Turned on debug logging, went right in and set the temp to 2700. The light came on to a nice blue.

Ok… now this is really strange… I see the setColorTemperature(2700) and then the following report confirms that the bulb received the correct values and responded with what should have been 2700k

Color Report:

ColorComponent ID Value
warmWhite 0 255
coldWhite 1 0
red 2 0
green 3 0
blue 4 0

Correct values are sent and the bulb is responding with the correct values, but the outcome is incorrect… I think you might have a hardware problem at this point.

BTW… unrelated to your problem… But the latest driver doesn’t do the double color report (waste of bandwidth)…

Sort of what I was thinking. Only had this bulb for a couple weeks, came in the pack with 4 dimmers. It was quite literally the only light on and had been for about an hour then it just turned blue while my kid was at the table. No one touching anything, and no automations going.

Have you tried resetting the bulb ?

The exact same thing happened to me today.

I have two bulbs in the same room that have been working perfectly since I set them up in December. One is still working perfectly, but the other will no longer turn white. All other colors still work.

I tried resetting it, but it didn’t help. Besides returning it, does anyone have any ideas?
