I’m replacing an eve smart 3-way + dumb with inovelli + dumb.
That gives me dimming which eve doesn’t do.

It seems like the wiring should be the same. The two travellers in the eve diagram go to the load and traveller on the white switch.
We tried this and it doesn’t work in 3-way mode. (dumb swich has to be “on” for it to work.
Am I missing something obvious?
Go to https://help.Inovelli.com and find the proper wiring diagram for your wiring configuration. You didn’t post your configuration so it is difficult to point you to a specific drawing.
My WAG, based upon the limited information you posted, is that you have a line and load in separate boxes and you have them confused.
Thanks for quick response. As you guessed we seem to have the “load in separate boxes” setup. With a spliced neutral in the dumb box.
Okay, so you have a line in one box and load in the other. Did you test to determine which is the line box and which is the load box?
