Is it possible to support window covering in the firmware?

Is there any way to add window covering commands to the firmware of one of the switches? The use case is kind of explained in this Reddit post by some other person. But for posterity, and to not speak for that person, I’d like to have some way to bind directly from a switch to a window covering so that window coverings can be controlled even if the controller/coordinator/home automation software is down. Ideally with Zigbee, but I’d settle for Z-Wave (or maybe even Thread/Matter if it’s possible).

I don’t have any preference on which switch would be able to do this, the window coverings won’t be directly powered by the switch anyway. So the switch would be used in a detached mode no matter what. Which is to say: if there’s space in the Blue 2-in-1 switch firmware for adding window covering clusters, cool my dimmer becomes a remote for my blinds; if there’s space in the Red fan switch firmware for adding window covering clusters, cool I’ll buy Red fan switches and use those instead; if there’s no space in any of them and you’d have to remove one of the features, cool I’ll change a Blue 2-in-1 switch from being a dimmer to being a window covering switch. Like, I’m open to whatever makes it possible to have tilt on my horizontal blinds.

Is this possible somehow?
