Looking for Feedback - Knowledge Base

Hey everyone!

As part of our Inovelli 2026 plans, we’re in the process of revamping our Knowledge Base to make it more accurate, up-to-date, and helpful for both new and long-time users.

One of the ideas we’re exploring is implementing a Knowledge Base system that allows guest users and community members to contribute input or edits. This will look kinda like a hybrid between a traditional Knowledge Base and a community style Wiki.

We are looking for your feedback and input on two key things:

  1. What Knowledge Base system or platforms would you recommend that support community collaboration or guest contributions?
  2. What are your thoughts on our current Knowledge Base structure? What do you like and what don’t you like? What companies do you think “do it right” when it comes to their documentation and Knowledge Bases?

Sticking to our roots, your input will help us choose a platform, format, and method that makes it easier for everyone to share accurate and up to date information. Let’s build this together!

Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts and examples!

I prefer and personally utilize DocuWiki. It ‘looks boring’, but can be spruced up with a huge number of themes and customized with enough plugins to make it work for just about any given documentation scenario, while using a formatting schema most in tech are already familiar with (and of course there’s plugins to make it all WYSIWYG as well if preferred).

From a technical standpoint it’s absurdly fast thanks to everything being simple text files (no backend PG/MySQL/etc DB to manage, maintain, and optimize), and there’s very little way to ‘screw up the deployment’. It just works.
