I have a room with small led lights that are driven by a transformer. I can’t use the dimmer with presence sensor and was wondering if there were plans for an on/off switch with the same presence sensor feature
@pierre.bourassa As of now we want to understand how the VZM32 and VZW32 perform and focus on the other projects that are currently in work but as everyone in the community knows Eric is always innovating with the help from our community so anything is possible down the road.
I’m kinda surprised that the on/off switch didn’t get the presence sensor treatment first. I see these switches being used in bedrooms the most, and the majority of my rooms only have one light switch connected to a DC ceiling fan w/ light kit (excluding the closet switch).
Luckily they are Matter-enabled fans, so I am able to install a dimmer switch, wire the fan directly to the line terminal, and put the switch into smart bulb mode so I can control the fan light through Home Assistant. Outside of direct control of the load, you do lose out on energy monitoring and using the air gap, though.
If an on/off version does ever get released, I’ll definitely swap out the dimmer ones I bought
