Perhaps not your typical 3-way switch issue

(as a new user I was blocked from putting more than one image, sorry)
I have a light fixture wired for 3 way switches. Sometime in the past, switch 2, was removed. Switch 1 can be seen in the photos. I wish to replace switch one with an Inovelli white. I pulled the wires out and took a photo of where switch 2 once was so you can see how the wires were left. Any suggestions on how to wire this? I tried once, unsuccessfully and ended up putting everything back the way it was. I’m ready to try again and I’m looking for help on the wiring. I do not want a switch in the switch 2 position. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is where switch two was once.

A second view of switch 1. I tried putting all in the post but as a new user I’m being constrained.

Can you post pictures of the boxes with everything pulled out? Need to see into the box to get a better sense of what you have. Ideally the connections and into the box in the same pic!

Did you get this resolved, or are you still looking for help on this one?
