Just giving a quick update. I have been working with the 3rd party handling the VAT and imports along with FedEx and we are finalizing the integration.
There’s just some small things that I’m waiting on from our manufacturer, but the lady who handles everything over there went on annual leave until later this week, so I have to wait for her to return to get the information to finalize the integration with FedEx since we’re shipping from China to customers.

If it takes any longer, here’s what we can do. I’ve already kicked off the project with the manufacturer, so we’ll just open up pre-orders when the site is ready. Since this is no longer a “Indiegogo” type project and we’re paying for it ourselves, we don’t necessarily need a pre-order up.

As for the questions/comments around mmWave, we’re not doing mmWave for the first switch in the EU. I know this may be a disappointment, but as I mentioned earlier in the thread, we are testing the waters first before “going all in” with our product line. I have to see if the standard dimmer sells first before thinking about mmWave.
I’ll start a new, consolidated thread were the project will be more organized – this was more of a brainstorming type thread.

As for the question about faceplates, this is where I’m going to need your help understanding the differences across the EU. This is what we had in our PRD:
We did not intend on producing faceplates with the switch for a couple of reasons:
- I am not familiar with the different types and it seemed to me that they were kind of fragmented across Europe?
- We typically don’t produce faceplates as in the US we found that most people just wanted their own and it was a ton of wasted plastic.
I’m open to adding them in if things are different in the EU as they are like $0.20, so not a huge deal. I just don’t want to have to produce them only for them to be thrown out.
