I know there has to be an easy way to do this and i just can’t figure it out. I want to connect a Red series switch to a circuit and have that circuit always on (its entryway and security camera), but use that switch to control another switch or possibly scene. Also, can i have the on push control a different scene than the off? (ie on -turns on 3 switches, off - turns off all switches)
Before anyone can make recommendation or provide help, you need to provide more information like what home automation platform you using, is the “other” switch a smart switch or are talking about a 3 way, etc.
Turn on the Smart Bulb mode. In this mode, the paddle will not control the wired load so whatever load is wired to it will remain on at full power.
Paddle presses will still send scene commands. The commands sent are distinct to the number of presses. Up and down presses are distinct as well, so you can have different automations tied to up and down presses.
