Admittedly taking this purchase real slow because of what it’s going to cost to do what I want to do, so I thought I might share my plans and see if anyone has any feedback or ideas that I might not have considered that would impact the cost. I’ve included the electrical plans for my house along with annotations for what type of switch I think I need for each existing switch. Entirely possible I may have botched something in the planning.
I’m pretty comfortable with the physical wiring aspect, but figuring out what types of switches I need and where - less confident.
This is a newly (cheaply) built home in Colorado, which was just built this year. Everything has a neutral in every box I’ve opened so far.
The smart switch I’m planning on using is the zigbee dimmer connected to Z2M/HA. A significant portion of the lights (but not all of them) will operate in smart bulb mode.
Harsh criticism won’t hurt my feelings (my 1980 born superpower), genuinely open to feedback. Thanks!
