Smart bulb not adding to Zooz USB stick on Home Assistant

I have a Zooz ZST10 S2 Z-Wave Plus USB Stick connected to a
Raspberry Pi 4B that is running the home control software
Home Assistant 0.103.5

The USB stick is configured and shows the configuration as ready.

I want to pair it with a smart bulb
ilumin RGBW smart bulb LZW42

I followed the bulb instructions for pairing by powering it up
which causes it to blink twice then I click ADD NODE on the
Z-Wave Network Management page… Nothing I have varied the sequence
many ways. I have also tried the ADD NODE SECURE button.

I have what sounds like an identical setup, running Home Assistant and attempting to interface with this bulb, LZW42 on a Zooz ZST10 (though I’m on a NUC rather than a Pi). What’s odd, is that when I configured my first bulb, it actually worked perfectly. It was on adding the second bulb that the devices began being unrecognized types, and seemed to essentially fail to respond entirely.

I followed approximately the same procedure you followed to begin with.

I would love to get these bulbs working! It was so encouraging that things worked fine out of the box and now it’s all bricked. At least I left one in a lovely shade of lavender before it went out.

I finally got Home Assistant to recognize the node. Instead of trying the ADD NODE in Z-Wave control panel. I selected SERVICES at the top of the developer control panel and selected ADD NODE from that menu and followed the instructions. Now the bulb is recognized and functions YEAH!!!
