SmartThings Screwed Up Inovelli Edge Driver Channel

@EricM_Inovelli ,

ST royally messed up community edge driver channels yesterday, which means many channels are now getting “403 Forbidden”:

Usually unenrolling and re-enrolling can sometimes fix this, but in most cases you have to create a new invite. I believe this is happening to the Inovelli channel and you need to create a new invite for the Inovelli edge drivers. This happened to my channel as well last night, as well as several others.

Please help! Ticket #1651

Thanks @johnconstantelo, we have been reaching out to ST about this. If we create a new invite, does it exist with the old invite? If they fix the issue (which I hope they will), should the old invite work along with the new one?

Hi @EricM_Inovelli ,

Both should be able to exist since they get a new ID (the last part of the invite URL), but only ST can confirm. Technically both invites should work, assuming they get the old one working again; but, when this happened last time my old one never got working anymore.

What a PITA, sorry you guys have to deal with this, and thanks for the quick response!

Looks like there are lots of eyes on it now. I am just waiting for them to confirm that a new link won’t cause problems when the fix the old one (hopefully they do). If that is the case I’ll just make a new link to direct people to.

Thanks @EricM_Inovelli!

Hi @EricM_Inovelli , any updates from ST or will you have to create a new channel invite?

I created a new invite:

Only downside they mentioned is they said that if you already have the old invite and then use the new one you will have two Inovelli channels in your subscribed channels? Guess that isn’t too big of a deal.

Ugh… thanks for the new invite. This is the second time they’ve done this. I sure hope they figure out what they messed up and not do it again, but I’m not holding my breath.

I think it might be more of a blunder than it seems like because I haven’t seen much communication about it. I still hope they figure it out soon though!

I still can get the light notification bar to work with routines. It doesn’t show up at all.

The original production drivers channel is now available again. It appears that you have to re-enroll, but after you do you’ll see that previously selected drivers are still reflected as installed.

@jrmytck I’d re-enroll and check to ensure the driver is loaded. Possibly remove and re-install driver if need be.
