Did they tell you what year to expect it on 07/19?
Hey everyone, I just ordered a bunch of White Dimmers to use with my Nanoleaf smart bulbs.
I do NOT have neutral wires on the switches. I think I saw the switch needs at least 25 W of load to work properly? Each Nanoleaf bulb takes ~8.5 W, so as long as there’s at least 3 bulbs on a switch, I will not need a Aeotec bypass?
I have 3 switches that run 1 or 2 bulbs.
But not sure how the load requirements work for smart bulbs, and if a bypass is needed to prevent flickering?
Hope this makes sense, or if there’s any other info needed. Looking forward to a killer smart home setup
25W is the published spec, but TBH, it is an approximation. You’re not going to know one way or the other until you actually do the installation. In some cases less than 25W works without a bypass and in others more than 25W requires one.
So did they arrive?
…and he said no. Wait until we get there. It’ll be worth it… It was!!!

.
The suspense is killing me!
lol, most recent update is now tomorrow, the 30th. So fingers crossed they show up! And if not tomorrow, hopefully by the end of the week at least!
How do the logistics from the port to the warehouse work and what drives the uncertainty in shipping times once its cleared customs in the US?
Very much looking forward to getting these
The shipment is released to the carrier in the us and the time it takes to schedule the pick up and then trucked from the west coast to MI. Historically is is about ten days. I am also not sure if it has been transferred from transport company to transport company in this shipment between the arrival port and Inovelli, which could be part of the time it has taken but that is only a guess…
Didn’t the Port of Los Angeles get really backed up during the Microslop-Crowdstrike debacle a few weeks ago? I remember seeing aerial shots with lines of trucks waiting to leave the port, and none of them could be released because the computers were down…
FWIW, Based on other delivery delays I encountered last week, a lot of logistics services were adversely impacted by the recent global IT outage. It delayed basically every non-Amazon order I made in the week.
Per the email sent an hour ago from the Inovelli mothership…
Hello all,
I wanted to give a quick update regarding the White Series 2-1/Dimmer switch - Batch 1 Orders (anyone who ordered before July 11, 2024).
I just got off the phone with the logistics company and we have a scheduled delivery for Thursday, August 1st, 2024. Finally!
That said, this is a final reminder to reach out if you need to change your mailing address as we’ll start shipping these out over the next few days after we receive them.
Also, please, I am begging you all, please do not email in and ask in what order we’re shipping these out as we are all hands on deck with this order and our customer service team will be assisting our logistics team to get these out as soon as possible. I know everyone is anxious and excited (me too!) but this only slows down the process. If you do not receive a shipping confirmation email by next Tuesday (August 6th), then please let us know.
Thanks so much for your patience and we’ll look forward to hearing how your setup goes!
Eric
Founder | InovelliPS - To anyone who has ordered after July 11th, 2024, part of Batch #2 is being air shipped to us and should arrive around August 8-9).
Exciting to see things finally moving.
By the way, I currently have a circuit that’s in a 4 way configuration (3 switches in different locations control the same light fixture), would it be possible to swap out one of those switches with a White dimmer, and have it work?
Hey everyone, I am really excited about the Thread dimmer switch. I Love my smart bulbs, so using it as a virtual switch sounds amazing! I just want to check that I can dim the group or scene of smart bulbs from the switch?
Also when will i be able to purchase? As it says sold out.

Are your bulbs Zigbee? If they are, you’d probably be better off using a Zigbee switch. Matching protocols allows you to bind the switch to the bulb(s), providing your hub supports it. You could also take advantage of the multi-tap capability of the switch to turn on and off and set dim levels via multi-taps.
Binding and mult-tap capabilities were still being researched by Inovelli (as of September 2023). See the chart below.
Multi-tap works for the Inovelli Matter/Thread switches in Home Assistant, although the support isn’t native (yet) and requires a bit of slightly advanced coding using templates. I don’t believe there’s any multi-tap support in the other platforms, yet.
Edit: the HA team said native support should be in the next HA release!
Multi-tap for the white switches is supported in Apple HomeKit. But only single taps, double taps, and long presses.
It’s like Christmas morning! It’s here! It’s here! It’s finally here!
