White Series Fan Bug Report and Firmware Status - vtm35-SN

Thanks for the info! For what it’s worth, I agree with the thinking about priorities. I was assuming this was the case. An occasional FYI update goes a long way though - particularly if things aren’t going to plan.

Hoping for any crumbs of information available to beg.

I hear there is a vtm-35 matter 1.5 beta firmware out. Would like to test on 1 of teh switches. On HA, pretty easy to test.

I will pm you with details.

Not a bug, but I’d love to see the timer option somehow exposed so it can be set via HA automation, or a preset time applied permanently to activate on 1 tap. For guests, I dont want to have to include an instruction manual on how to use double taps to set a timer for bathroom fans.

I’d also be interested in the beta firmware, though I havent yet seen any issue with my single (for now, 5 more in the mail) fan switch dropping.

Can I please get beta access as well?

Do we have another update on this? I’m about to get rid of the fan switch if not. I would gladly do a beta to get off the current firmware.

There is a Beta available. I believe there will be at least one more Beta version before release.

my vim-35s have NOT been falling off the network with the beta. seems more stable

Hi there,

I will send you a PM to get your setup with the beta firmware!

The beta is nice looking, but early alpha quality with a lot of pretty obvious bugs. Toggling and untoggling “Load Indicator Timeout” causes the led bar to go unresponsive, and reboot to yellow for some reason, and ceases showing the led fan power level after that. I tried “Local Fan Timer”, the led went dark after one cycle, and I started getting weird chipset errors afterwards.

I think I’ll wait for the next version to test, as I am tired of factory resets. It does work fine if you stick to the core functionality.
