Zigbee Wall Outlet | Project Jambry

I have a couple of these. They’re garbage. The mmWave sensor takes forever to start detecting presence (think 5-10s), and even longer to stop detecting presence (60+s), and is completely unconfigurable in terms of even sensitivity, let alone precise object locating. ALL of the sensors (temperature, humidity, CO2, illuminance) are incredibly far off from matching any of my other sensors in the same rooms (comparing against at least 1, by usually 2 other brands). The required face-plate is huge, making the outlet stick out like a sore thumb, is difficult to install correctly, and means it cannot be used anywhere but a single gang configuration. While it is nice that it supports MQTT and Home Assistant discovery for more functionality than can be exposed via Matter, the MQTT interface feels like it was designed by toddlers. Getting them initially paired was finicky to say the least, and I had one drop off the network for like a month (it did finally come back). Installation is super annoying with pigtails (at least they included wagos). I reported all of these issues on their forums, where I was essentially ignored, and the posts have been removed now (though maybe they changed their forum software?). They only have like 1 post in each category in their forum now. The lights are somewhat configurable, so that’s not the worst. And dual relays works as expected, though I’m pretty sure they reset to OFF anytime you lose power, so that’s annoying.

Conclusion: avoid like the plague. Incredibly expensive for functionality that doesn’t work.

I wish you had posted this 6 months ago before I backed their “Invisoutlet Aura” RGB lightbar outlet campaign. All of the same problems still exist and the physical installation is terrible… I can’t even get their face plates to sit flat against the wall. Definitely regretting that purchase myself.
