Installed the driver, paired the switch successfully, renamed it and tested it on/off a few times. Then it blinks red 3 times and goes back to flashing blue. Reset multiple times and multiple ways same thing.
It has line and neutral connections. Not using the load connection. Single switch configuration. Eventually it goes solid blue and works manually but it is not connected to Hubitat.
I just tried the second new blue 2 in 1 switch, Its doing the exact same thing. When pairing it flashes green and works for a short time then flashes red and stops working.
I only have hot and neutral connected to test. Verified the polarity is correct.
I have nothing else in the house Zigbee and these are less than 10 feet from the C8 hub.
I don’t have Hubitat, but I assume there are logs somewhere in Hubitat? Can you see if those offer any hints as to what is going on?

Is there good channel deconfliction with your 2.4 wifi and if applicable, any other zigbee bridges (e.g. Hue)?
No other zigbee. The only other hub I have is Lutron Caseta.
The next step is to shutdown the wifi and try again to see if this is the cause.

I turned the wifi off and I set the blue switch directly in front of the C8 hub. I just have the switch wired to a cord with line and neutral to test.
It paired instantly, I had control in Hubitat turning it on and off for 30 seconds then 3 red flashes and gone. I tested both new switches and they do the same thing.
Any Ideas?
It would be interesting to see if some other mains-powered zigbee device would do the same thing or not - that would at least help identify a possible hub hardware issue versus something else.
Exactly what I was thinking. I ordered a Ge zigbee switch and I’ll see what that does. I also have a friend with a c8. I’ll take a blue switch to their house to see if it pairs and stays paired.
@ScoreboardExpert i was having the same thing happen on my C8 and i got in to pair and stay paired by Pair the device like normal. Right after the led flashes green (showing a successful pairing), you pull the airgap. After waiting 15 or so seconds you push the airgap back in. Worth a shot. I still have not heard back for Hubitat as to what the issue may be. Maybe @EricM_Inovelli has more.

Wow, I never would have tried that. I just did it and now its staying paired so far. Its only been 5 minutes but thats longer than it ever has. Keeping my fingers crossed.
