TextI have new construction house we are wiring and want to hide some switches and operate them remotely. I also have many 3 ways and not sure If I even need to run travelers if I use 2 smart switches? I’ve scoured for the answer and can’t find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If the line and load are in the box where the Inovelli will go you need a hot and neutral in the non-load boxes for a smart switch.
My recommendation is that you wire normally for 3-way dumb switch operation. Building code specifies where certain switches must be placed, and jacking with the wiring to the point that a pair of dumb 3-way switch won’t work probably doesn’t meet the code.
More importantly, it will keep your electrician from looking at you funny . . .

To answer the question in your title: One Inovelli dimmer, fan or on/off can control another Inovelli dimmer, fan or on/off using automation or binding (for the Blues). Those two switches to not need to be physically connected to each other.
