3-Way Question on White Series with Aux

This is for my own education. I am considering getting the Aux switches. I have two White 3 way Switches paired with two sets of lights and dumb switches in the other box, It works great but find the clicking (I get why itis needed) annoying. I thought my only change would be where the dumb switches are but this diagram clarified that.

I understand capping off the black at both ends since it is no longer a mechanical communication of state, but what I don’t understand is capping off the neutral coming back from the light. How is that a complete circuit if only the load is going to the light?

The neutral isn’t capped off. In the dimmer box, you bundle the four neutrals, line, load, dimmer and Aux. There’s an extra wire nut in that diagram that I think just got left there by accident. But all four conductors are bundled together.

That is what I assumed but since the diagram showed it being capped off similar to the black wires going between boxes I was not sure. So basically that does not change and they stay connected together just like today when using a dumb switch on the other side.

@Kaleb_Inovelli, I hate pinging staff but new here, is there a way to tag Inovelli support so they can update the diagram to properly reflect how it should be wired? The others also show it being capped off separately from that bundle of neutrals.

Hi there,

Thank you for looping me in on this, no worries on pinging us directly! I will reach out to our team and work on getting this documentation cleaned up on our end.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you!

How exactly do you see it capped off separately? I see an extra wire nut that is not connected to anything but all four conductors are under the same wire nut as they should be.
