3-Way Wiring issues

Hi all!

I’m in the process of installing my newly acquired white series dimmer switches!

I do have neutral wires all over my house, it’s a 3-way setup with an existing dumb light switch.

I installed the new White series switch correctly - at least in my perception.
It looks like this setup:

I can toggle the light on and off with the White Series switch. But if I toggle it off, it kills the smart functionality of the switch itself. I cannot operate it anymore from my phone. (I use Apple HomeKit)
Same with the dumb light switch - if I toggle this off, it kills the White Series switch in it’s entirety. So it needs to stay on, otherwise electricity to the smart switch is cut.

I also manually set up the 3-way dumb configuration (purple light showed up).
My configuration looks like this:

Can anybody give me some insights?

Thanks a lot!!

I can’t really see well into your boxes so I am going on your assertion that the wiring diagram you posted matches your wiring configuration.

One box is the line box and one box is the load box. How did you test to determine which is which?

Thanks for the reply!

You mean which switch box is “before” the other, correct?
I removed the light switch where the Smart Switch is supposed to be and checked if the dumb switch still works - which it doesn’t. So, I guess I’m at the correct location…

Also, I had no neutral on either of the switches before.

For the box where the smart switch is located, I measured which wire is load and line with a voltage indicator.

Found the issue - you were right, it’s the wrong box.
