I just had my electrician install a bunch of white series dimmers. I expected the AUX switches to act like 3-way and 4-way pairs. But he’s having trouble knowing what to do with them. The AUX switches seem to need pairing with the “main” switches instead of being wired to them. Which I get, easier to deal with.
My issue is I can’t find any instructions on how to pair the AUX switch with the white series dimmer. The instructions i found were for the Red, Blue and Black series.
You don’t “pair” them, you connect them to the to the main switch. The Aux switches use a traveler/signal wire from the main switch from the Traveler terminal, and are also connected to a Neutral wire when the switch is also wired to a neutral or the Line wire for that circuit when the switch is wired without a neutral. Refer to the Wiring Instructions
You then need to make sure the Switch configuration is set to Multi-way Aux (Link to instructions for manual method) for the Aux switches to work correctly.
