Aux Switch won't turn off if dimmer level too high

Hi there - I’ve recently set up a Red dimmer (VZW31-SN) with an Aux switch (AUX01) in a 3-way no-neutral setup.

Wiring was fairly straightforward and the dimmer works correctly. The Aux switch, however, is acting a bit odd.

It will turn ON the lights with no problem. However, it will not turn OFF the lights unless they are dimmed below a certain level. Initially I determined the level to be about 64, but the number seems to be somewhat inconsistent - sometimes it is only 50, sometimes even less. I haven’t sorted out why it changes.

The load is just three 3x 7W LED GU10 bulbs in one fixture. I’m assuming the LED could be the issue here - does anyone have any thoughts on a workaround if that’s the case?

What conductor is attached to the neutral terminal on the Aux?

Followed this diagram, so it’s the same conductor that’s connected to the Line terminal on the Dimmer.
