My understanding is that the upcoming Smart On/Off Switch + Humidity Sensing is what you want for a DC fan motor and NOT the Smart Fan Switch (which is for AC motors only) even when the Smart Fan Switch is in on/off only mode. The difference is the On/Off switch uses an actual relay. If you have the switch in Smart mode where no load is directly attached it won’t matter.
