Blue 2-1 and Fan switches disable local configuration

Hello folks, I recently hit an interesting problem: how to disable local configuration on the switches? Means I still want them to work as I configured them, but lock the ability to be reconfigured through the combinations on the switch - only remotely. Thought there is a way like “child lock” or “config lock”, but found only unrelated “Protection Mode”…

The thing is - my friends are mostly programmers, who thinks they can play with this configuration button and, even if it’s not a big deal to restore configuration after them, I’d prefer to keep those config options away on my home assistant hub or after some sort of hard reset.

Thank you

I like the idea of something like a “child lock”. I’ll take note of it. I do want to point out that the button combos on the current gen switches (vzm31-sn, vzw31-sn, vzm35-sn, vtm31-sn) are usually pretty hard to activate unless you are doing it on purpose. For example, to change to dimmer mode

Hold the down button and press the config button 3 times. Wait a second after pressing the config button for the last time and the LED should flash a certain color. Release the down button to finish the process.
