I’ve got an open floorplan basement with four areas (all philips hue floodlights). I’ve installed 4 blue dimmers in smart bulb mode, each bound to one of the areas. When I turn the lights on and off at the switches, the LED bar goes on and off along with the bulbs. All good, so far.
Also, I have a 5th group called “Basement Lights” that has every bulb in the basement in it. This way, I can turn on and off that group so that all lights go out at the same time (avoiding the popcorn effect of the areas turning off out of sync). BUT…When I use that group, the LED bars don’t turn off at the switches.
I’m thinking it’s because the individual group areas are still “on” and so the LED’s continue to represent that state of the area. Is there a way around this?
That worked perfectly. Thank you. Followup - What are endpoints 1, 2, 3, and 254? I’m now assuming that 1 is the LED bar, but figured I’d just ask for a quick mapping.
Endpoint 1 is primarily used for incoming control of the load / light bar from other devices. It also has the custom cluster that allows for parameter adjusting.
Endpoint 2 is outbound from the buttons. By default it’s bound to the coordinator so the coordinator gets the scene controls and then it can be bound to smart bulbs, groups, or other dimmers to control them.
Endpoint 3 is for the config button when in fan mode. It’s primarily used to bind to the fan/light canopy so that the config button can control the fan speed when the correct parameters are enabled.
