Blue on/off (VZM30-SN) energy reporting off by an order of magnitude

I’m using a Blue series On/Off (VZM30-SN) switch to control a bathroom exhaust fan, I recently noticed that within Home Assistant’s energy dashboard this device was being reported as using over 50% of my home’s power which did not make much sense. I checked the device more specifically and found that the energy consumption is was off, the current value is 443.70 kWh, which might be plausible if it was reported in Wh, but it’s in kWh. My mmwave dimmer right next to it that controls the lights also reports in kWh though the value it’s showing is perfectly sane so I assume that’s the unit it’s supposed to be using but maybe something in the math has gone wrong?

It’s on the latest firmware v1.0.3, I took at look at the statistics recorded in Home Assistant and found that there are a number of crazy outlier values in the last few months, but for the most part the fan draws about 19W when it’s on which means it couldn’t possibly be pulling more than 456Wh in a day, so not even half a kWh and that’s only if it was actually on perpetually.

Here are the statistics since January 1st: history.csv · GitHub

I’m pretty sure there’s a multiplier issue (reported by the switch to the hub) in the firmware that’s pending a fix.
