The issue im running into is the fan doesn’t spin very fast even at maximum speed. The fan says its 4-speed but the remote that came with it only has 3 speeds and OFF as the options. The fan itself uses an Intertek 3177973 controller. I have the same exact fan setup in my son’s room hooked up to a GE Cync Fan Switch. It works perfectly and is how i know the fan isnt running as fast as it can.
Just to note, the light is hooked up direct to a Blue Dimmer switch.
Im stuck and looking for help. I see the following options
Not have this fan be smart using the Innoveli. I really dislike the GE cync environment as it doesn’t work well with Home Assistant. I just know this combination functionally works and i’d have to live without having this integrated into home assistant.
Buy the canopy module and pair it with a blue dimmer switch.
Make the whole thing “dumb” and install the controller and use the provided remote from Hunter.
When it’s on high speed, it’s medium compared to my son’s fan. You can barely feel any airflow from it. Granted, my bedroom is twice the size so id expect less airflow being felt. The switch does adjust the fan speed. I’ll try and get some videos to reference.
I would do a test. Put the fan on high via the switch or the app and observe the speed. Then temporarily rewire the load conductor to the second line hole. This will power the fan directly taking the switch out of the equation so that you can observe the difference.
This way you can isolate the issue to the switch or the fan.
Yep, that’s why I asked the OP to wire directly, temporarily bypassing the switch, to isolate the issue to the switch or the fan. No way to tell for sure until he sees the fan speed with an assured 120V.
In the process of wiring the power direct to the fan and avoiding the switch, the electrician that installed them flipped the line/load. The switch works perfect now.
