I recently connected a new VZM32-SN mmwave dimmer switch and connected it to HomeAssistant (with the quirk for better settings coverage). I’m trying to set up an automation to disable the motion detection overnight (disable in the evening and then re-enable in the AM). It seems like the “light on presence” parameter (110) would be appropriate for this, so I set one automation to set this parameter to 0 (disabled) at 11:00pm and another automation to set it to 1 (Auto on/off when occupied) at 6:30am. In the AM I can see the automation kicking in and setting the paramter to 1 (see below), but the motion sensing does not turn on. I have to manually use the paddle to turn the lights on.
In the overnight period (while set to 0), the occupancy detection is going off correctly, detecting occupancy (but correctly not turning on the light).:
Then once the “light on presence” paramter is st back to 1 in the morning, though, there are no more “occupancy detected” events. Once I use the physical switch to turn on the lights again, the occupation detection works as expected.
Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?
