Blue series on/off switch recognized as temp sensor by Amazon alexa when connected by Hubitat

I’ve wired and set up some blue series on/off switches, and physical control/hubitat dashbord control works as expected. However; when using the Amazon Echo skill to connect the switch to Alexa for voice control, the switch is recognized as a temp sensor in the Alexa app (with on/off capabilities) and doesn’t work intuitively as a switch when using certain voice commands like turning on and off a group in Alexa.

I’ve tried workarounds like making a virtual switch and binding commands between the physical switch and vitrual switch but nothing seems to give a consistent result (physically pressing the button on works, but then using voice control to turn off the bound virtual switch in Alexa ends up with the light being left on). If relevant, these switches control dumb bulbs.

Side note - I’m not extremely savvy in home automation. I was able to copy and paste the driver for the switches into hubitat and tinker with virtual switches, but that is about 90% of my know-how, but I’m willing to dive deeper though if anyone is kind enough to share some wisdom.

I’d light this up on the Hubitat community for discussion there. I just added my bathroom fan VZM30-SN switch to alexa via the echo skill and indeed it does show as a temp sensor with on/off capabilities. Ideally it would be nice if the echo integration app would let you choose the major capability in much the same way as the homekit integration app works.
