I just added another VZM-31 switch and Blue Fan Canopy to my Hubitat setup to control a bedroom ceiling fan. I have the same combination controlling a ceiling fan in a different bedroom.
I have the Smart Bulb enabled on the VZM-31 and multi-tap selected. And, I have to Zigbee pairing setup through the Hubitat Zigbee Pairing app. I have the pairings configured so the paddle controls the fan and the Config button controls the fan light. I have this same setup working ony other fan setup with the same Blue switch and canopy. It works as expected.
For some reason I can’t figure out, the new VZM-31 and Blue Fan Canopy won’t do the multi-tap for the fan. Even though everything is configured the same, the VZM-31 acts like a dimmer for the fan motor. When I tap the paddle, the fan will start and the LED does this weird trailing animation where the whole LED lights up, then it trails up to the top and then trails down to the bottom and finally stops and Half the LED is lit up (the fan is at Medium). If I click down it should go to Low but it turns Off. If I click up when it is Medium nothing happens. If I hold up, it increases the LED length and the fan speeds up
I’ve excluded, reset, re-paired, removed all Zigbee pairing, etc. on both devices multiple times and reconfigured them. Same results.
