Blue Switch firing off random events in ZHA

I’ve got two Blue switches connected up via a neutral that are bound together and controlling smart lights via ZHA in Home Assistant. Both switches are on the latest firmware 0x01020212 and HA is fully up to date.

One of my switches seems to be sending out random events via ZHA while the other one is simply following the “noisy” one as they are bound.

Here is an example log of what I am seeing from ZHA with the “noisy” switch

11:36:52 AM - 2 minutes ago
Hallway Switch 1 Move To Level event was fired with parameters: {‘level’: 2, ‘transition_time’: 131, ‘options_mask’: 0, ‘options_override’: 0}

Any idea what might be causing this or what I can do to try and eliminate this switch causing so much trouble?

Those appear to be button press events and the associated logs. Are you sure no one is pressing the paddle?

If you are, can you press up and down on the paddle freely, or is it possible you pushed the ground wire in far enough that it’s pressing the paddle down and that’s what’s triggering what appear to be random button press/holds?

Yes, positive nobody is pushing the paddle, and it does move freely. I can turn the lights on and off with no problem as well as dim them from the physical switch as well as the HA interface. The only issue is when it fires off these seemingly random events.

I could open the box back up and check on the ground wire in that switch. Are you saying that I might have inserted the wired too far in?

I don’t think this will be the case if you can freely move the paddle, but I know that was an issue where if you pushed the ground wire in ‘all the way you could’ it’d prevent you from pressing the top paddle so it was a shot in the dark.

Any chance you have something else bound to that group where the events could be generated from? If not, do you have another 2-1 you might be able to swap in to test if that behaves the same?

I did a factory reset on the switch and no dice. I then this morning was about to pull the switch out and replace it, but decided to pull it out a bit and give the wires more space so they are less compressed. So far it’s been quiet.
