I’m my bathroom I have a fan switch directly controlling the exhaust fan. It’s connected to Home Assistant via ZigBee, and bound to two Phillips Hue lights. For the most part, this works great. Tap up and down turns everything on and off, hold up and down adjusts the brightness of the lights, and the automation I have set up for the config button works great.
The problem is, I can’t seem to use double tap to control the fan without also triggering the binding. I’d like to use double tap to turn just the fan on and off, but not the light. I set up an automation for this, but when it runs, it affects the light too.
Running the action directly from Home Assistant also does both, so I guess the lights are bound to the fan state rather than to the press up/down action? It’s it possible to use the one switch to control them separately? I feel like it should be, I have a switch/canopy module combo that can control fan and light separately. Did I pick the wrong endpoint or cluster or whatever?
