Cannot See Firmware Version in SmartThings

I have a stash of Red Dimmer switches (LZW31-SN) I’m finally getting around to installing, fulfilled from around August 2022.

Trying to check firmware versions to see if it’s the latest but in SmartThings, there’s no parameter in the attributes to be found (I set it to show 100 rows per page to make sure) even remotely related to firmware or versioning schemes of any kind.

Any idea why this might be happening?

At least one switch is set for:
Device profile: inovelli-dimmer-power-energy
Driver: Inovelli Dimmer Red Series (from channel)
Model: 0001-0001
Manufacturer code: 031E-0001-0001

I can’t find it for the Gen2s either.

Since you are contemplating updating the firmware and you haven’t installed them yet, I’d just add them to the SiLabs PC Controller (since that’s what you use to update the firmware anyway) and check it there. When you’re done, exclude the switch in the PC Controller.

I actually coincidentally purchased a Zooz z-wave stick ( ZST39) already, should arrive tomorrow in fact. That should work with a Windows 11 laptop and the SiLabs software?

I think I will go ahead with that route as you suggested for the remaining switches, as that would have been my plan if the others are outdated as well. They came in the same batch (a 10-pack to be precise) so if one switch is outdated, I’m sure the rest are too.

Thanks for the confirmation on what I should expect to be seeing in ST and the advice on how to update in more detail.

I haven’t had to run it under Windows 11 as I have not had to use it in a while, but I can’t see why it won’t work just as it does with Windows 10.

There may be a way to see the firmware for those older devices, but I could not find it. I even tried the CLI and the API browser with no luck.
