Just double-checking. Is that white in the neutral terminal a pigtail? I know you said the canopy is powered and added to the hub, but I’d expect 2 conductors in the neutral terminal. Maybe you pigtailed the neutrals but didn’t pigtail the lines? Can’t really tell from the picture.
I wouldn’t expect the switch to control the canopy as you’ve described it. The next step is to either bind the switch to the canopy, or to define automations for the canopy based on paddle presses.
However, I would expect the hub to control the canopy, so you need to get that working first. When you say that “the hub is not able to activate them either”, are you telling the hub to send commands to the switch or send commands to the canopy?
If the canopy is properly paired with the hub and you send hub commands to the canopy but the fan or light isn’t responding, that would suggest improper canopy wiring. So get the canopy part working first and then focus upon the switch.
