Can't get Black Switch to Factory Reset

I recently had a catastrophic failure of my Home Assistant instance. Long story short, even though I had a backup, I decided to start over (the backup did not restore everything correctly and it was filled with too much junk anyway). So I’ve got 3 Inovelli Black Dimmers and love them. I was able to factory reset two of them just fine, and then put them in inclusion mode and repair them to my Z-wave stick. However, one of the Black switches (of course, the one that gets the most use, too) will not factory reset for me. I’ve tried holding down the favorites button for 20+ seconds, and nothing happens - the light just remains blue. It’s just this one switch out of the three. Do I have a bad switch here or is there any other way to get it back on my Z-wave network? Is there a like a “god-mode” factory reset that will override everything and just set it back to its factory settings?

If you can do a general exclusion, I believe that will factory reset it as well.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that I no longer have the Z-wave network setup that it is currently configured for. So I can’t put the network in exclusion mode and then triple-tap the favorites button on the dimmer to exclude. Unless you are talking about a different way of “force excluding” that you can do on the device.

A general exclusion means that you put any Z-Wave controller into exclusion mode and the triple tap config on a device that’s not included in that network. Any controller can exclude any device for specifically the situation you’re in.

Thanks a million! You just fixed the problem for me! I didn’t realize I could do that, but I just tried, got a green light (success). And now I’ve put Z-wave in HA in inclusion mode and it looks like it worked - another green light. You guys have the best support community. I remember from all your help when I first bought the switches. Great product, great support!
