I’m trying to set the switch so that instead of turning on to the previous brightness, it always turns on to a pre-specified brightness.
However, I noticed that within Home Assistant, if turning on the switch via the light switch UI, the default brightness is always the previous brightness despite the light switch turning on the the actual specified brightness.
i.e
If the default brightness was set to 80%.
If I set to 30% brightness, then turn off the light.
Then turn on the light via Home Assistant UI.
Then the light will correctly turn on to 80%, but Home Assistant will incorrectly report that the light is on 30%.
If I turn on the switch via local switch, then Home Assistant does correctly show that the light turn on to 80%.
So it seems like the light switch isn’t reporting the brightness level to Home Assistant? perhaps?
