I noticed an issue with my Blue Series Presence Switches: range is much less than expected. I was under the impression that the range should be around 6 meters, but the switch installed in my garage seems to gain/lose tracking right around 4.5 meters (or slightly less), even directly in front of the switch (i.e. the portion of the lobe-shaped detection area where detection range should be furthest).
I have my switch installed with a neutral wire, and it is the only switch on the circuit.
I tried editing the MMWave detection area and maxed out all of the area parameters (i.e. MmWaveWidthMin=-600, MmWaveWidthMax=600, etc.), but it doesn’t seem to have changed anything.
There are some areas where I’m partially obstructed, but typically only maximum 50% obstructed. In all the areas I’ve tested, I still have direct line-of-sight to the switch (although my legs might be blocked by the junk in my garage).
Is there anything else I can do to improve range?
